Scarecrow Festival
Westridge Academy
The following is an announcement from Westridge Academy.
Dear Performer,
I am writing from Westridge Academy, formerly known as The Boy's Ranch, a residential treatment center for teens in crisis based in West Jordan Utah. Westridge is a spiritually-based, non-profit organization that offers a chance for youth in crisis to discover a change of heart though individual and family counseling and recreational therapy. Each student lives in a family setting while continuing his or her education in a fully-accredited, on-site school. It is a valuable and successful program, nearly 50 years in the making.
Each year, the students and staff at Westridge put on a major fundraising event called The Scarecrow Festival. This event has grown into a 50,000 guest venue with exciting family rides and activities available. This year, the event will take place at Thanksgiving Point on October 16th, 17th, 18th, and 20th.
During the festival, we provide centrally-located stage for local performers to showcase their talents. The stage is large and has a professional sound system, lights, an attached dressing room, comfortably seats 400, and is covered in case of inclement weather. During past festivals, the performances have been a popular draw for guests, and shows have been well-attended.
I would like to invite your group to perform at The Scarecrow Festival this fall. This opportunity will provide your group with publicity and face-time with a large, local audience while supporting a worthwhile, non-profit organization. With very few exceptions, those who perform at the festival and are invited to perform again return annually.
Please let me know if you are interested in this rare opportunity and we will discuss how we can accommodate your group's needs.
Sincerly,
Rachel Pasi
